Report: Joe Lauzon Faces Jonathan Pearce At UFC Fight Night Boston

A lightweight division attraction has been added to UFC Fight Night Boston according to Marcel Dorff of MMA DNA as Joe Lauzon is in action against Jonathan Pearce. 

Lauzon (27-15-0) has won just one of his last five under the UFC banner, with that lone win coming over Marcin Held at UFC Fight Night 103. Lauzon hasn’t picked up a victory in almost three years, with that aforementioned win over Held coming in January of 2017. Lauzon has picked up twenty seven wins as a professional MMA fighter and seventeen of them came by way of submission.

Pearce (7-3-0) is going to be making his UFC debut in this encounter and does so on the strength of a four fight winning streak. Pearce also competed on Dana White’s Contender Series Season 3, Episode 3, defeating Jacob Rosales by third round TKO. Pearce has picked up seven victories as a professional MMA fighter and five of them have come by way of KO/TKO.

UFC Fight Night Boston takes place on Friday, October 18 from the TD Garden in Boston, Massachusetts with Dominick Reyes and Chris Weidman headlining. Fightful is going to be providing live coverage of the event, which airs live on ESPN.
