Report: John Allan Replaces Gian Villante At UFC Fight Night Sacramento

Gian Villante has been pulled from the upcoming UFC Fight Night Sacramento card according to the Wrestling Observer, replacing him against Mike Rodriguez is John Allan.

Allan (13-5-0) will enter the promotion having won five of his last six bouts, with that latest win coming last month at the Future MMA 6 card. Allan competed on Dana White’s Contender Series Brazil Episode 3, suffering a second round submission loss to Vinicius Moreira. Allan has competed eighteen times as a professional MMA fighter and just two of those bouts went the distance.

Rodriguez (10-3-0) has won just one of two under the UFC banner, with that lone win coming against Adam Milstead at UFC On Fox 31. Rodriguez also competed on Dana White’s Tuesday Night Contender Series Episode 5, defeating Jamelle Jones by first round knockout. Rodriguez has competed thirteen times as a professional MMA fighter and just two of his bouts went the distance.

UFC Fight Night Sacramento takes place on Saturday, July 13 from the Golden 1 Center in Sacramento, California with Aspen Ladd and Germaine De Randamie headlining. Fightful is going to be providing live coverage of the event, which streams live on ESPN+.
