Report: John Dodson Faces Petr Yan At UFC Fight Night Prague

A bantamweight division attraction has been added to UFC Fight Night Prague according to Ariel Helwani of ESPN as #8 John Dodson is in action against #14 Petr Yan.

Dodson (20-10-0) has rotated wins and losses in his last eight UFC appearances, with the latest bout being a loss to Jimmie Rivera at UFC 228. Dodson has twice before challenged for the UFC Flyweight Title, losing to then champion Demetrious Johnson both times at UFC On Fox 6 and UFC 191. Dodson has seen his last five fights go the distance and it has been almost three years since the fighter got a finish.

Yan (11-1-0) is currently undefeated under the UFC banner, having defeated the trio of Teruto Ishihara, Jin Soo Son and Douglas Silva De Andrade. Yan is a former Absolute Championship Berkut Bantamweight Champion, defeating Magomed Magomedov to win the gold at ACB 57. Yan has seen six of his professional MMA fights go the distance and the fighter picked up wins in five of those encounters.

UFC Fight Night Prague takes place on Saturday, February 23 from the 02 Arena in Prague, Czech Republic with Thiago Santos and Jan Blachowicz headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, which streams live on ESPN+.
