A lightweight division attraction has been added to UFC Fight Night Nashville according to Nolan King of Flo Combat as John Makdessi is going to be in action against Nasrat Haqparast.
Makdessi (16-6-0) enters the contest on the strength of a two fight winning streak, having defeated the duo of Abel Trujillo and Ross Pearson. Makdessi has picked up his last three wins by way of decision and it has been almost four years since the fighter got a finish. Makdessi has picked up sixteen wins as a professional MMA fighter, but he has yet to earn a victory by way of submission.
Haqparast (10-2-0) has won two of three fights under the UFC banner, with those wins coming over the duo of Marc Diakiese and Thibault Gouti. Haqparast has seen all three of his UFC bouts go the distance, which are the only three bouts the fighter has that went to the judges scorecards. Haqparast has picked up ten wins as a professional MMA fighter and eight of them have come by way of KO/TKO.
