A lightweight division encounter is set for the UFC Ultimate Fighter 27 Finale according to Marcel Dorff of MMA DNA as Jonathan Gunther faces Allan Zuniga.
Gunther (4-0-0) is going to be making his UFC debut in this fight, but he was a cast member on the UFC Ultimate Fighter 27. Gunther competed three times in the Revelation Fight Organization, defeating the trio of Luke Ransbottom, Devonte Smith and Nick Browne. Gunther has seen two of his four professional MMA fights go the distance, but none of the competitors amateur bouts went all three rounds.
Zuniga (13-0-0) is also making his UFC debut in this fight, while also serving as a cast member on the UFC Ultimate Fighter 27. Zuniga also competes in a professional MMA bout for the first time in over a year, as all of the bouts on TUF were considered exhibition contests. Zuniga has seen about half of his pro MMA bouts go all three rounds, but it has been nearly two years since the fighter went the distance.
UFC Ultimate Fighter 27 Finale takes place on Friday, July 6 from the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada with Brad Tavares and Israel Adesanya headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, which airs live on Fox Sports 1.
