A bantamweight division attraction has been added to Bellator 207 according to MMA Junkie as Mike Kimbel is in action against Alex Potts.
Kimbel (1-0-0) has spent his brief, but entire professional MMA career competing in Bellator MMA, defeating Geoffrey Then by first round TKO at Bellator 194. Kimbel also won just one of three bouts as an amateur MMA fighter, with that lone victory coming over Steve Rivera at Warrior Nation XFA 12. Kimbel did compete as a flyweight while fighting as an amateur, but has spent his entire pro career competing at bantamweight.
Potts (1-0-0) has also spent his entire pro MMA career competing in Bellator MMA, defeating Brandon Polcare by first round submission at Bellator 182. Potts also won his lone amateur MMA fight, having defeated Michael Taylor by second round TKO at Combate Americas: Empire Rising. Potts has yet to gone the distance as a professional and/or amateur fighter, with his longest fight going just under five minutes.
Bellator 207 takes place on Friday, October 12 from the Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Connecticut with Matt Mitrione and Ryan Bader headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, which airs live on the Paramount Network.
