A lightweight division attraction has been added to a yet to be announced UFC card this January as Nasrat Haqparast faces Drew Dober.
Farah Hannoun of MMA Junkie first reported the news, but the bouts placement on the card hasn’t been revealed at this time.
Haqparast (11-2-0) enters the contest while in the midst of a three fight winning streak, defeating the trio of Marc Diakiese, Thibault Gouti and Joaquim Silva. Haqparast has suffered just two losses as a professional MMA fighter, with those defeats coming to Marcin Held and Adrian Ruf. Haqparast has picked up eleven wins as a professional MMA fighter and nine of them have come by way of KO/TKO.
Dober (21-9-0-1NC) has won four of his last five under the UFC banner, with the last win coming over Marco Polo Reyes at UFC Fight Night Minneapolis. Dober also competed on the UFC Ultimate Fighter 15, losing in the opening round of the reality show to Daron Cruickshank. Dober has suffered nine losses as a professional MMA fighter and more than half of them have come by way of decision.
The yet to be announced UFC card takes place on Saturday, January 18 from a location to be announced with a main event yet to be announced. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, while broadcast plans have yet to be announced.
