A middleweight division encounter has been added to the UFC Ultimate Fighter 27 Finale according to MMA NYTT as Oskar Piechota takes on Gerald Meerschaert.
Piechota (11-0-1) has already competed twice under the UFC banner, defeating the duo of Jonathan Wilson and Tim Williams. Piechota is a former Cage Warriors Middleweight Champion, defeating Jason Radcliffe at CWFC 85 to claim the gold. Piechota has only seen one of his professional MMA bouts go the distance and that came against the aforementioned Jonathan Wilson at UFC Fight Night Gdansk.
Meerschaert (27-9-0) has won three of four bouts in the UFC, with the last win coming over Eric Spicely at the UFC Ultimate Fighter 26 Finale. Meerschaert has competed a total of four times thus far during his time in the UFC, with none of those bouts going past the second round. Meerschaert is also a former Combat USA Middleweight Champion, defeating fellow UFC fighter Sam Alvey to win the strap in September of 2010.
