A bantamweight division attraction has been added to UFC 252 as #14 Sean O’Malley faces Marlon Vera.
MMA Junkie first reported the bout, who’s spot on the card isn’t known at this time.
O’Malley (12-0-0) has already picked up four wins under the UFC banner, with those victories coming over Terrion Ware, Andre Soukhamthath, Jose Alberto Quinonez and Eddie Wineland. O’Malley competed on Dana White’s Tuesday Night Contender Series Episode 2, defeating Alfred Khashakyan by first round knockout. O’Malley has picked up twelve wins as a professional MMA fighter and eight of them came by way of KO/TKO.
Vera (15-6-1) has won five of his last six in the UFC, with notable wins coming over Frankie Saenz and Andre Ewell. Vera has won two of three fights when competing on UFC pay-per-view events, having earned those wins at UFC 227 and UFC 239. Vera has picked up fifteen wins as a professional MMA fighter and eight of them came by way of submission.
UFC 252 takes place on Saturday, August 15 from the UFC Apex in Las Vegas, Nevada with Stipe Miocic and Daniel Cormier headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, with a post-show podcast to follow.
