Report: Tony Ferguson vs. Charles Oliveira Booked For UFC 256

Tony Ferguson is back and Charles Oliveira has the chance to make a big splash at UFC 255.

Ferguson vs. Oliveira is in the works for the UFC's final pay-per-view of 2020. The fight has not officially been announced by the UFC; however, it has been reported by the promotion's broadcast partner ESPN and MMA Junkie. Ferguson acknowledged a December 12 fight on Instagram.

Ferguson (25-4 MMA, 15-2 UFC) is coming off a fifth-round TKO loss to Justin Gaethje in May. It snapped a 12-fight winning streak dating back to October 2013. Submission savant Oliveira (29-8 MMA, 17-8 UFC) seems to be putting all the pieces together and is on the best run of his UFC career with seven consecutive wins. He most recently beat Kevin Lee via guillotine choke in March.

These two all-action fighters have a combined 27 fight night bonuses between and 28 UFC finishes.

UFC 255 takes place at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas, Nevada on Saturday, December 12. The pay-per-view card is headlined by UFC bantamweight champion Petr Yan and title challenger Aljamain Sterling. Keep up with Fightful for all your fight night coverage.
