Stipe Miiocic and Daniel Cormier delivered as pay-per-view draws, according to the reported numbers for UFC 252.
Miocic scored a unanimous decision victory over former two-division UFC champion Cormier in their main event clash. The show proved to be a big success from a pay-per-view perspective, as the show drew 500,000 buys according to Aaron Bronsteter of TSN. 400,000 of those pay-per-view buys came in North America via ESPN+, while the remaining 100,000 came from overseas buyers.
Other bouts on the UFC 252 pay-per-view card saw Marlon Vera defeated Sean O’Malley, Jairzinho Rozenstruik defeat Junior Dos Santos, Daniel Pineda defeat Herbert Burns and Merab Dvalishvili defeat John Dodson.
UFC 252 places fourth on the UFC pay-per-view buys chart from 2020, with (in order) UFC 246, UFC 251 and UFC 249 ranking ahead of that event.
There are no UFC pay-per-views left in August, but the next PPV event will be UFC 253 on Saturday, September 26. UFC middleweight champion Israel Adesanya will defend the gold against Paulo Costa in the main event.
