Based on informed speculation by Bloody Elbow's John Nash, this would likely make UFC 257 the UFC's 2nd most bought PPV behind UFC 229 that pitted Khabib Nurmagomedov vs. Conor McGregor.
1.6m buys would make it the 2nd biggest seller of all-time behind UFC 229. Domestically that's probably closer to the previous top sellers - 100, 196, & 202. They're selling a lot more inter'll PPVs now, especially with McGegor events. https://t.co/BDAGQYY7Gj

The massive success of UFC 257 proves that fans are willing to shell out for a marquee fight, even in spite of a price increase that the UFC has set for all their PPVs in 2021.
