Report: UFC Signs Danillo Belluardo

A new threat is making his way to the UFC lightweight division as Danillo Belluardo has reportedly signed a four fight deal with the promotion.

Sherdog first reported the signing and the length of the contract, but no financial numbers have been revealed at this time. The report also states that Belluardo is training with Team Alpha Male out of Sacramento, California.

Belluardo (12-3-0) enters the promotion while in the midst of a six fight winning streak and he hasn’t suffered a defeat in almost two years. Belluardo also competed once under the Bellator MMA banner, suffering a first round TKO loss to AJ McKee at Bellator 152. Belluardo has competed fifteen times as a professional MMA fighter and only three of those bouts went the distance. Belluardo also went winless during a three fight stint as an amateur MMA competitor, with his amateur run lasting from March of 2013 to December of 2013.

There is no word at this time as to when Belluardo will make his promotional debut or whom that bout will come against. Belluardo will enter a division the is currently ruled by Khabib Nurmagomedov, who last defended the title against Conor McGregor in the main event of UFC 229.
