Shawn Porter defeated Andre Berto via TKO, round 9, 1:31

Jermell Charlo defeated Charles Hatley via KO, round 6, 0:32 to retain the WBC Light Middleweight Title

SHOWTIME EXTREME CARD

Jose Miguel Borrego vs. John Delperdang: Both men combined for 19 knockouts of a total of 21 wins. Borrego utilized the left body hook from the beginning. This was a heavy-hitting bout, but Borrego has been connecting on more power punches and even had a flurry the second round where he was throwing and landing heavy shots for 10 uninterrupted seconds.

Borrego's bread and butter in the first two rounds was the left body hook, but the big weapon in the third round was his uppercut, which open and had been bleeding throughout the third round onwards. Delperdang never gave up and kept throwing body shots and stiff jabs whenever he could.

The fourth round will probably end up being as the best round of the entire card. Borrego looked like he was about to knock down Delperdang, but Delperdang landed hard left hooks and jabs at Borrego's jaw.

The fight kept being extremely entertaining, but had been getting the edge in every single round, and it was only matter of time before the fight would be stopped or Delperdang would be knocked out. The referee stopped the fight towards the end of the seventh round, giving Borrego an impressive win.

Amanda Serrano vs. Dahiana Santana: Vacant WBO Women's Bantamweight Title Bout

Round 1: Santana starts off running around the ring while Serrano throws jabs. Not a lot of action is conducted in this opening round, but Serrano had been the more aggressive fighter. The last 20 seconds of the round had Serrano landing various hooks and jabs, concluding with the first solid combo connected in this fight.

Round 2: Santana throws and misses a lot of jabs t start off and Serrano is biding her time until she finds a good opening to counter. She finds one, landing a left hook to Santana's jaw, but Santana then has Serrano on the ropes momentarily before Serrano en the round with a quick jab landing square on Santana's face.

Round 3: Santana wildly throws various punches and misses like she has throughout the fight. Santana holds Serrano's right arm and Serrano responds by landing a ton of body shots with her left arm. Serrano keeps throwing hard hooks and uppercuts and has hurt Santana a couple of times.

Round 4: Serrano is not wasting time beginning this fourth round, throwing several hooks and now both women are exchanging and connecting major hook and uppercut shots to each other. Serrano hurts Santana with a big left uppercut, but then gets hurt by a surprise counter left by Santana. Both fighters exchange hard punches but then the referee takes away a point from Santana for a low blow. Serrano ends the fight with an exclamation point, landing stiff jab at Santana.

Round 5: Santana starts by throwing and missing the left hook and running across the ring. Serrano throws a right jab and misses with a follow-up left uppercut. Serrano connects on a hard right hook and then with a left body hook. Serrano at this point is mostly countering whatever wild punches Santana mostly misses with.

Round 6: Serrano and Santana have a much calmer first half of the round before Serrano connects on a left hook to Santana. Santana was mainly running throughout the round.

Round 7: Both women start off with a quick jab, but doesn't do much damage. Serrano connects on a couple of uppercuts, but Santana doesn't cave in, but is still running across the ring. Serrano connects with a few short hooks. Santana lands a right overhead punch at the temple of Serrano, right as the round ends.

Round 8: Serrano starts throwing punches while Santana mainly ducks to avoid getting cleanly hit. Serrano then gets up close and connects on a couple of quick, short left hooks, Serrano is now using the uppercut to perfection, landing on Santana until the referee stops the fight.

SHOWTIME MAIN CARD

Jermell Charlo (c) vs. Charles Hatley: WBC Light Middleweight Title Bout

Round 1: Charlo begins with a hard right jab and Hatley responds by throwing a three-punch combo of his own. Hatley lands left body hook nad both men then clinch momentarily. Charlo blocks a right hook from Hatley. Charlo then responds with a swift body jab. Not much action in this first round.

Round 2: Charlo uses the jab earlyon and then unleashed several flurries to the body. Charlo connects with the jab once more. The champion then throws a left body hook, but Hatley was able to block it. Hatley lands a counter left while Charlo misses with the right. Hatley lands three-straight left hooks to Charlo's head. Charlo connects on a stiff right jab that sends Hatley stumbling into the ropes, nearly knocking him down at the end of the second round.

Round 3: Hatley blocks a left jab by Charlo. Both men clinch and Charlo falls to the floor, but it's not a knockdown. Hatley throws a left hook but misses. Charlo then connects with a right hook square on Hatley's jaw and knocks him down. Hatley gets up and runs near the ropes, avoiding any offense by Charlo. The two men clinch again. Hatley's left jab is blocked. Charlo is tagged in the chin slightly as the round ends.

Round 4: Charlo ducks as Hatley misses with a couple of hooks. Charlo is waiting for Hatley to throw a punch so that Charlo can counter. He does so and tags Hatley with a big jab. Hatley's left hook is blocked. Hatley is in trouble as Charlo has all the momentum in this fight. Hatley throws a left hook which partially connects on Charlo. Hatley headbutts Charlo as the two were tangled on the ropes. Charlo hurts Hatley again with the right hook.

Round 5: Hatley begins with the jab, but Charlo blocks it. Charlo connects with a left hook and then a left jab. Charlo tags Hatley again with te left jab. Charlo and Hatley then pace around the ring for a while, not throwing a single punch as the Barclays crowd boos at the inactivity. Charlo then connects with an uppercut. Hatley responds with a left hook, largely blocked. Charlo takes command of the last 20 seconds of the round with several hard jabs and uppercuts.

Round 6: Charlo connects with the jab right away. He then knocks out Hatley with a wicked right hook as Hatley is out cold. Ball game over.

Andre Berto vs. Shawn Porter: WBC Welterweight Title Eliminator

Round 1: Porter begins by throwing a couple of left jabs. Berto throws some jabs, but misses. The two men throw hard punches, but instead get tangled up. Porter goes aggressive on Berto’s body and then lands a hard left jab. Porter keeps throwing wild punches, but some of them connect. Berto answers back by firing a right jab of his own and then Porter counters again. The two men are almost brawling at this point.

Round 2: Berto lands a quick jab, but Porter is still unfazed, keeping to his aggressive style and attacking the body. Both men get tangled up again, still fighting very wildly. Porter hits several body shots to Berto and has Berto on the ropes. Porter is warned to not headbutt Berto as the two men are constantly attacking up close. Porter knocks down Berto with a left hook at the end of the round.

Fightful scored round 2 for Porter 10-8

Round 3: Things have quieted down a bit at the start of this round from the crazy first two rounds. Berto clashes heads with Porter. Berto tags Porter with the right hook and Porter fights back, attacking the body while Berto is on the ropes. Porter is cut badly near his left eye because of the head clashing. Porter tags Berto with a right jab at the end of the round

Fightful scored round 3 for Porter 10-9

Round 4: Porter throws the left jab a few times, while Berto moves back. Berto hits a hard right uppercut to Porter’s body. The two men exchange punches until Porter has Berto on the ropes again. Porter gets headbutted again. The two men get tangled up again and throw hard, quick punches to each other’s body. Fight gets interrupted as Berto’s cut near the left eye as well. The two men get back to work attacking each viciously as the round ends.

Round 5: Porter tags Berto a couple of times with the jab and then goes to work on the body again, landing a dozen hard shots to Berto’s body and then hits him in the head with a right hook. Berto gets a right uppercut in to Porter’s body. Berto is hitting dangerously close to the back of Porter’s head. Fight gets interrupted again so that doctors can check up on Berto. The two go back to throwing haymakers until the end of the round.

Round 6: The round begins with both men getting checked up by the doctors for any concussions, but the fight continues. Berto throws a couple of hard jabs and Porter nearly hits Berto in the back of the head a couple of times. The two men get tangled up once more and Porter lands a hard left to Berto. Berto lands a punch and then slips, but is not considered a knockdown. Porter lands a left jab and the round ends with a punch from Berto nearly to the back of Porter’s head.

Fightful scored round 6 for Porter 10-9

Round 7: Porter tags Berto once again and throws numerous stiff right hooks and the two clinch again. Berto fights back by throwing a few jabs on Porter’s face. Both men exchange hooks up close. They continue to exchange a large number of punches, but Porter gets the last punch of the round, a quick left jab to Berto that barely connected.

Round 8: Porter has Berto on the ropes and the majority of the round pummeling Berto nearly to the brink of knocking him down. Berto manages to land a couple of solid punches to Porter’s jaw and Berto finally escapes trouble. Porter then has Berto on the ropes once more as the round ends.

Round 9: Porter nearly clashes heads with Berto and Porter nearly knocks down Berto again abut Berto is arguing he got hit in the back of the head. Porter then gets the knockdown seconds later and the two men square off again. Porter has Berto in the corner and keeps knocking him down once more and the referee stops the fight, giving Porter the win.
