-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Liam Smith vs. Liam Williams: interim WBO World Super Welterweight Championship Bout: Williams dominated throughout most of the entire fight, as Smith had not been able to find a rhythm. Williams eventually cut Smith open and it almost got to the point where he was going to get stopped, but kept marching on.

In the ninth round, Smith and Williams had a clash of heads, which seemed to have cut Smith open and hurt him a little bit. That cut did just enough damage as Williams was not able to continue competing. In between rounds, William's corner stopped the fight to protect him, much to the audience's shock and disapproval. Smith wins even though he was down on the cards. All three judges had Williams up by one round, while most of social media had that fight even more in favor of Williams.

Because Smith missed weight yesterday, the belt still remains vacant even though he won.

Official result: Liam Smith defeated Liam Williams via corner stoppage, after round 9; interim WBO World Super Welterweight Championship remains vacant

Nicola Adams vs. Virginia Noemi Carcamo: Women's Super Flyweight Bout: Not much to say other than this was an impressive and easy debut for Adams. Adams is Britain's first ever two-time boxing Olympic gold medalist. She is one of many Olympic gold medalists to make their pro debuts within the past several months after the 2016 Olympics. Adams shined through as Carcamo was not on the same level as Adams in the four rounds of this contest.
