Francesco Patera's reign as the European lightweight champion continues.
The Belgium native returned to Italy on October 25 and scored another EBU European title defense on DAZN, this time against unbeaten rising Italian prospect Domenico Valentino. The fight was fairly one-sided with Patera walking out victorious with a unanimous decision win. This is Patera's third successful title defense since beating Lewis Ritson to claim the belt back in October 2018.
The card also featured Italian regional champions Maxim Prodan and Daniele Scardina retaining their respective IBF International titles. Prodan, the welterweight titleholder, narrowly escaped with his title intact with a split decision win over Tony Dixon. Meanwhile, Scardina, the IBF International super middleweight titleholder, got a unanimous decision win, his third straight win on the scorecards, against Ilias Achergui.
