Alistair Overeem notched his 47th professional win with a gritty finish of Augusto Sakai at UFC Vegas 9.
Overeem (47-18-0-1) has won four of his last five fights in a remarkable career spanning more than 20 years. Take a look below at his impressive finish over Sakai.
Alistair Overeem def. Augusto Sakai by TKO via strikes (0:26, R5)
Sakai performed well across the first three rounds, dictating the pace and landing the harder shots. Overeem's striking defense and low output served him well, however, as he nearly finished an exhausted Sakai with ground-and-pound in round four. "The Demolition Man" left off where he started in the final stanza, earning a TKO finish.
