On a night where KSW is competing with both UFC and Bellator, the Polish organization quickly separated itself from the pack thanks to one of its all-time greatest stars. Khalidov made short work of Askham in their rematch on Saturday, blitzing forward and throwing up a switch kick that immediately flattened the KSW middleweight champion. Follow-up ground-and-pound separated Askham from consciousness and left no doubt who the winner was. The official finish came at 0:36 of round one via head-kick and punches.
Footage of the knockout immediately began circulating on social media. Khalidov improved his professional record to 35-7-2 and reclaimed his KSW middleweight championship in the process. The victory also snapped a three-fight losing streak for Khalidov.
KSW 55 took place at Wytwórnia Club in Łódź, Poland.
