Former UFC Women’s Bantamweight Champion Ronda Rousey is currently preparing for her return to the cage against current women’s bantamweight champion Amanda Nunes at UFC 207.
However, before the former champion returns to the cage, she appears on the Comedy Central program “Drunk History.”
Ronda appeared alongside celebrity friend Kat Dennings, who she recently started a knitting club with. Her character would eventually bite the ears off of Dennings' character.
Derek Waters, the creator of Drunk History, recently spoke to MMA Junkie about having the former MMA champion on set.
“I didn’t get anything but positive vibes,” Waters said. “Her attitude was so happy and funny. Everybody wanted their picture taken with her, and she was so sweet about it. I don’t have a bad thing to say about her.”
Waters spoke about casting for the woman to bite the ears off of Dennings, saying there was only one person he had in mind.
“When I first heard about this story and someone biting an ear off, I just thought, ‘Who would be the coolest person we could get to do that?'” Waters said. “Luckily, Ronda was a fan of the show, and so she immediately said, ‘Yes,’ which made us so, so happy.”
UFC 207 takes place on Friday, December 30th from the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada with Nunes and Rousey headlining.
