A featherweight division clash is the latest addition to the UFC On Fox 25 card as Shane Burgos looks for the win against Godofredo Pepey.
Burgos (9-0-0) has already competed twice under the UFC banner, having defeated the duo of Tiago Dos Santos E Silva and Charles Rosa. Burgos also competed four times in the Cage Fury Fighting Championships promotion, with none of those fights going past the second round. Burgos is on a nine fight undefeated streak thus far as a pro, the streak has lasted just under four years at this point.
Pepey (13-4-0) has won four of his last five fights in UFC competition and all four of those wins came via a first round finish. Pepey is currently winless at “UFC On Fox” cards, having dropped a fight to Darren Elkins at UFC On Fox 20 in July 2016. Pepey made it to the finals of the UFC Ultimate Fighter Brazil 1, where he lost a decision to Rony Jason in the reality show finals at UFC 147.
UFC On Fox 25 takes place on Saturday, July 22 from the Nassau Coliseum in Long island, New York with Chris Weidman and Kelvin Gastelum headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, which airs live on Fox.
