A welterweight division attraction is the latest addition to the UFC Fight Night: Rotterdam card as Siyar Bahadurzada takes on Abu Azaitar.
Bahadurzada (22-6-1) has won just two of four fights during his UFC tenure, with those victories coming over the duo of Brandon Thatch and Paulo Thiago. Bahadurzada is returning to action for the first time in well over a year, as his last bout against the aforementioned Thatch came at UFC 196 in March of 2016. Bahadurzada also won the United Glory 2010/2011 World Series, defeating Tommy Depret in the finals by second round TKO.
Azaitar (13-1-1-1NC) is going to be making his UFC debut in this fight and he does so on the strength of an eight fight winning streak. Azaitar competed twice under the World Series Of Fighting banner, defeating the duo of Danny Davis Jr and Michael Arrant. Azaitar is also the current German MMA Championships Welterweight Champion, defeating Rafal Lewon to win the gold in 2015.
UFC Fight Night: Rotterdam takes place on Saturday, September 2 from the Ahoy Rotterdam in Rotterdam, Netherlands with Stefan Struve and Alexander Volkov headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, which streams live on UFC Fight Pass.
