UFC light heavyweight contenders Thiago Santos and Magomed Ankalaev are set to square off in the headlining bout of a yet-to-be-announced UFC Fight Night event on March 12.
ESPN's Brett Okamoto was the first to report the news of the matchup, although the promotion is yet to officially finalize the bout. Santos is 1-3 in his last four Octagon outings but is coming off a unanimous decision win over Johnny Walker back at UFC Vegas 38. Ankalaev meanwhile is surging up the promotion's 205-pound rankings, he's on a seven-fight winning streak currently and defeated Volkan Oezdemir via a unanimous decision at UFC 267 in his most recent appearance.
