Former UFC bantamweight champion, TJ Dillashaw, isn't too concerned about current bantamweight champ, Aljamain Sterling's striking ability ahead of their matchup this weekend.
Dillashaw spoke with reporters during Wednesday's media day for Saturday's UFC 280 event in Abu Dhabi ahead of his clash with Sterling and explained why he doesn't view the current bantamweight king as a dangerous fighter, primarily because he doesn't respect his striking skills.
"He's not a scary fighter," Dillashaw said. "You don't have to go out there and be like 'Alright man, I gotta be on my toes. I don't want to be this guy's highlight reel knockout.' I think his standup has been pretty lackluster. He's an arm puncher, he doesn't set things up. He looks scared on his feet. But he's a great athlete who does what he does well. He's explosive and I gotta put myself in those deep waters in practice and be ready for that kind of stuff."
