One rumor which has been building heavily in the combat sports world over the past few weeks has been the possibility of a boxing match between Tyson Fury and the UFC heavyweight champion Francis Ngannou.

Ngannou secured a huge win this past weekend where he defeated Ciryl Gane by unanimous decision.

The day after the fight, Fury sent a message to Ngannou on Twitter saying "if you want to make some real money come see the GK." This comes after Ngannou has teased recently that he wants to have a boxing match before the end of his career.

This tweet from Fury is even more significant after it was reported that Ngannou earned only $600,000 dollars for defending his title at UFC 270 which is a minuscule amount as to which boxers such as Fury, Anthony Joshua and Deontay Wilder make.

Ngannou responded to Fury's tweet with this image.

With Ngannou's UFC future in doubt and him reportedly being in a bad feud with Dana White, could now be the time for Ngannou to switch over the boxing and have a superfight against the Gypsy King?
