UFC officials announced after Saturday's UFC 210 that Gregor Gillespie, Charles Oliveira, Shane Burgos and Charles Rosa earned $50,000 bonuses.
UFC 210 took place from the Keybank Center in Buffalo.
Burgos and Rosa received "Fight of the Night". Gillespie and Oliveira received "Performance of the Night" accolades.
Burgos and Rosa were slugging it out in the first two rounds with Burgos holding a slight advantage. Then in the third round, Burgos hit Rosa with right uppercut followed by a devastating left hook that dropped Rosa. The end was near for Rosa and Burgos knew it as he poured it on with left and right hands and referee Todd Anderson had decided he had seen enough. Anderson made the right call. Rosa was getting lit up and it was only going to get worse.
Gillespie headlined the Fight Pass portion of the card and knocked out Andrew Holbrook in just 21 seconds. "The Gift" tapped Holbrook with a right hand to the body followed by a blistering left hook to send Holbrook packing. Gillespie is now 9-0 and 2-0 in the UFC. It was "The Gift's" seventh career win by first-round stoppage.
In the pay-per-view opener, Oliveria was returning to lightweight against Will Brooks after a series of mishaps of missing weight at featherweight. Oliveira looked like a new fighter out there. He took down a wrestler and used his superior ji-jitsu for an unbelievable standing rear-naked choke. 155 pounds is where "Da Bronx" needs to be. He doesn't have to struggle to make weight and due to that, look at the result.
