The most decorated women's fighter in UFC history, Nunes came into UFC 239 in Las Vegas Saturday night having beaten every UFC and Bellator Women's Featherweight Champion, and was one shy of doing the same in the UFC's Bantamweight division. Holly Holm was the name to mark off of her list.

Holm defeated Ronda Rousey for said championship in 2015, and subsequently dropped three straight fights to elite competition, granted, the loss to Germaine De Randamie was disputed. After winning two of three fights, the UFC put her in a marquee spot against the top name in Nunes.

Nunes would mark that name off her list in pretty quick fashion. A first round head kick would drop Holm and finish her. Nunes would say after the fight that she wanted to finish Holm with her signature move. After the fight, Nunes would decare her desire to defend her UFC Featherweight Championship next.
