Nurmagomedov's forward pressure was ultimately too much for Gaethje. The interim championd did well to stay way from the fence and land kicks and counter shots; however, Nurmagomedov's relentless pressure secures him take downs in the first and second rounds. "The Eagle" effortlessly landed in mount on both occasions. Nurmagomedov had time to work in round two and choked out Gaethje with a triangle choke.
