In a rather tepid affair, Cyril Gane picked Derrick Lewis apart from range with a variety of jabs, and leg kicks. Lewis didn't show very much, and was eventually put away near the end of the third round following one more leg kick that caused Lewis to collapse, and Gane poured on the punishment to get the finish. Gane becomes a rather illegitimate interim champion, and sets up an all-French matchup between Gane and reigning champion Francis Ngannou.

Jose Aldo def. Pedro Munhoz via Unanimous Decision (30-27, 30-27, 30-27)

The King of Rio isn't dead yet. Jose Aldo turned back the clock to put on a stellar performance against fellow Brazilian Pedro Munhoz. While Munhoz was competitive, Aldo consistently landed the heavier shots, especially to the body throughout the entire fight. Munhoz attempted many wild spinning attacks, that the veteran Aldo easily parried or avoided, and he fought the fight we've seen for 15 years now. Aldo is amazing.

Vicente Luque def. Michael Chiesa via Submission (D'Arce Choke) (Rd. 1 3:25)

In a brilliant display of grappling, Vicente Luque not only survived having the always dangerous Michael Chiesa on his back, but he reversed the position and secured a D'Arce choke of his own. Luque has now won four straight fights, and went on to call out the champion Kamaru Usman in his post-fight speech.

Tecia Torres def. Angela Hill via Unanimous Decision (30-27, 30-27, 29-28)

Tecia Torres rode a volume striking approach to defeat Angela Hill for the second time in her career. While Hill had clearly improved dramatically from their previous matchup in 2015, Torres still managed to double her up with strikes landed. Torres has now won three fights in a row, to fully bounce back from her four fight losing streak, and set herself up for a contender bout in the future.

Song Yadong def. Casey Kenney via Split Decision (30-27, 29-28, 28-29)

In an high paced kickboxing match, Song Yadong earned the decision over Casey Kenney. While Kenney was the one pressuring most of the fight, Yadong managed to pick him off on the way in, and had a consistent advantage in strike totals over all three of the rounds.
