Earlier today it was confirmed that UFC 286, which for quite a while now has been slated to take place in the UK will indeed take place in London at the O2 Arena — this and much more in your social media roundup.
UFC 286 to take place at the O2 Arena in London
Following Leon Edwards' incredible welterweight title win at UFC 278, in the post-fight press conference, UFC president Dana White seemed extremely keen on the idea of a UK stadium show in early 2023 for the trilogy between Edwards and Usman.
Ever since then, White has given many interviews where he has seemed to backtrack on the idea of doing a stadium show in the UK due to the unpredictable weather, and he has said multiple times that he would only do a stadium show if the venue had a roof.
The announcement of the location of UFC 286 was announced earlier today and the event will indeed take place in the UK but it will not be held at a stadium like White initially seemed to want.

Even though it has not been officially announced yet, the main event for this card will most definitely be the trilogy between Leon Edwards and Kamaru Usman for the UFC welterweight title.

T.J. Dillashaw retires from MMA
On Monday evening, news broke that T.J. Dillashaw had been removed from the UFC rankings pool. Shortly after this news broke, Ariel Helwani posted a video to Twitter explaining the situation and confirming that the actual reason why he had been removed from the rankings was due to him retiring from MMA due to the shoulder injury which he suffered in his camp leading up to his fight against Aljamain Sterling in October.
TJ Dillashaw has decided to retire. The UFC was notified around a week and a half ago. @The_MDubb first reported the news.

ONE announce a huge trilogy fight for their first event in the USA
Despite the huge success they have had in Asia, it has taken the promotion 11 years to announce an event which will be held in the United States.
Well the US doesn't have to wait much longer as earlier this week it was confirmed that in May next year, ONE will be making its debut on US soil where they will come to Colorado with an insane trilogy fight between Demetrious Johnson and Adriano Moraes for the flyweight title.

Conor McGregor and Dustin Poirier go back and forth on social media once again
Despite completing their trilogy over 18 months ago, Conor McGregor and Dustin Poirier still find ways to take shots at each other over social media.
The Twitter spat started when McGregor tweeted "heal up scruffy knickers" to Poirier following his announcement that he was in the hospital with a bad staph infection and the antibiotics were not working.
Poirier then had a pretty funny comeback and said to McGregor "you done filming Roid House and ready to get slapped around again?" where Poirier is insinuating what a lot of people in the MMA community are right now and which is that Conor McGregor is on steroids due to his insane muscle growth in the last year despite dealing with a very nasty broken leg injury.

Whenever Thomspon has fought other strikers in his career he has always been involved in good fights, however, Thompson has developed a big reputation as a point fighter due to his hesitance to strike when he is facing wrestlers and fighters who want to get him down to the ground.
