UFC On Fox 20 Does Strong Numbers

Despite an underwhelming card, UFC on Fox 20 was a success for the company on television.

Attendance and live gates were both lower than usual for UFC events in Chicago, but according to TV By The Numbers, UFC on Fox 20 delivered with an average of 2.9 million viewers in the overnight ratings. The program also landed a .9 rating among adults 18-34, which made it the night's leader in the demographic on television networks.

The show peaked at an impressive 4.687 million viewers, making it one of the most successful UFC on Fox shows outside of football season. The post-show on Fox Sports 1 also drew 222,000 viewers

The numbers were a bit of a surprise considering the strength of the card, headlined by former UFC Bantamweight Champion Holly Holm dropping a unanimous decision to Valentina Shevchenko.
