The UFC have seemingly gone to great lengths to censor Francis Ngannou's name.
In January of 2023, the UFC Heavyweight Championship was stripped from Ngannou after he and the UFC could not come to terms on a new contract following his contract expiring with the company. Since then, Ngannou has boxed two of the world's best boxers and is the current PFL Heavyweight Champion. Since then, UFC President Dana White has criticised Ngannou repeatedly.
Now, it seems the company has gone one step further. In a new clip posted to social media, the difference between MMAFighting and the UFC's footage of Ciryl Gane mentioning the former UFC Heavyweight Champion at the UFC 310 pre-fight press conference was noted, as a loud graphic was played to muffle Gane's voice when he mentioned his former rival.
