UFC Vegas 15 takes place this Saturday Night with a heavyweight main event pitting #2 Curtis Blaydes against #4 Derrick Lewis, with more important stakes than many realize.
The pivotal heavyweight bout comes at a time when the division is actually in flux. Francis Ngannou has earned another championship shot based on his unreal resume since his last effort. That is undeniable, as is the drawing power of legendary, but controversial Jon Jones, who is moving up from light heavyweight to make a run at the bigger fighters at heavyweight. All of this happens as Daniel Cormier has called it quits and retired. However, there are a couple of other names waiting in the wings in Blades and Lewis.
Blaydes is the favorite in the main event according to Sports Betting Dime, as Blaydes sits as a -345 favorite over Lewis, who comes in as a +260 underdog. Blaydes isn’t just a favorite in the main event, but he is the biggest favorite on the entire main card.
Elsewhere on the show, a former UFC title challenger is in action, supporting the heavy hitting main event.
Other main card betting odds sees Devin Clark as a -118 favorite over Anthony Smith (-106), while Josh Parisian is a -225 favorite over Parker Porter (+175), with Zhalgas Zhumagulov being a -125 favorite over Amir Albazi (+100), plus Miguel Baeza is a -200 favorite over Takashi Sato (+159) and Spike Carlyle is a -162 favorite over Bill Algeo (+130).
A couple of more familiar names are on the card as former- Becky Lynch beaux Luke Sanders competes on the prelims, as does Ashlee-Evans Smith.
It should be noted that fight odds will fluctuate until the bouts actually take place on Saturday Night, as movement occurs. Fightful will have full coverage of the night's shows, including a wrap up of the event on our Youtube Channel shortyl after the conclusion of the show.
