The UFC’s debut in Uruguay has come to an end and in the main event, it was Valentina Shevchenko successfully defending the UFC Women’s Flyweight Title against Liz Carmouche by unanimous decision. Shevchenko dominated a fight that was mostly contested on the feet, but the champion also showed a solid ground game in the later rounds.

Shevchenko attacks Carmouche with some ground and pound, Shevchenko gains the half guard against Carmouche. Shevchenko attacks Carmouche with some more ground and pound, Shevchenko keeps top position against Carmouche as the round ends.

Shevchenko would call out two division UFC champion Amanda Nunes after the bout, potentially setting the stage for a third encounter between them.
