Yoshihiro Takayama Reportedly Paralyzed

Bad news out of Japan, as Middle Easy reports that Yoshihiro Takayama is paralyzed following a wrestling accident.

Samoa Joe and William Regal both commented on the matter.

Takayama found great success in pro wrestling, capturing the IWGP Heavyweight Championship, GHC Heavyweight Championship, and AJPW Triple Crown Heavyweight Championship, in addition to tag team title reigns in NJPW, DDT Pro, AJPW, Zero1, WAR, and NOAH.

Takayama may be best known to American fans for his fight with Don Frye at PRIDE 21 in 2002, which saw the two men clinch and trade punches at a frenetic pace.
