Cody Rhodes speaks to media ahead of AEW Full Gear
- Cody says there's nothing quite like the cardio of pro wrestling, and it's hard to prepare for it, so you have to get the reps. He's happy that AEW wrestlers have had the opportunity to do that over the last six weeks. AEW Dark matches go a little longer for this reason.
- Cody isn't even sure you can call what he said a promo, it just felt real and authentic to him and he's glad that it resonated with the audience.
- Cody says contrary to some of his quotes, he puts over Kevin Dunn, and like what he's taken away from WWE. He appreciates the elements of production that he got from there, but likes what Keith Mitchell does. There is a sports element to the way Keith Mitchell does things.
- He puts over the production staff at AEW as family. He doesn't want them barking at each other. Says he's seen Darby Allin speaking with the cameramen to learn more about what he's doing. None of the EVPs will allow production employees treated "lesser than."
- Cody doesn't like the term "mid card" associated with a title. He knows it exists because he toiled there, but when he was IC Champion, he wanted to make it the best thing. Pointed to Wrestle Kingdom and Summerslam 92 as examples of a title going above.

- Cody says there could be another prize coming to fight over, and even uses the term over the next "month." He wants the next prize to matter as much as everything else.
- Cody says this evening that they'll have top 5 rankings for AEW dropping. No word on if @jeremylambert88 is curating them. They'll come out weekly.
- Cody mentions the importance of the crowd audio on their show. They want to hear the crowd, even sometimes at the cost of hearing the music. Puts over Mikey Ruckus for their music.
- Christopher Daniels and Chris Harrington are mentioned as people who have worked hard to bring international talent to AEW, which isn't easy in this political climate. He says Emi Sakura and Riho might be the match he's looking forward to the most.
- Cody says that a lot of people think of wrestling numbers as if it's 1997 or the early 2000s. They look at Nielsens, social Nielsens, and other things. He's happy where they are, and there's room to grow. He's proud they've been able to beat NXT six weeks in a row.
- Cody says the make up artist isn't going to be a judge in the AEW Championship match like in TNA, they'll be qualified, championship caliber judges.
- Cody talks about the different cameras that they're using for All Elite Wrestling. Cody could see their relationship with WarnerMedia allowing for non-PPV specials like Fyter Fest and Fight For The Fallen.
- Cody doesn't like people telling him what Dusty would or wouldn't like. He would love the crowd loving wrestling, and thinks he would love what AEW is doing.

- Cody says "perception isn't reality in wrestling, reality is reality." He doesn't want any content to be mandatory in order to keep up. Dynamite is the hub for their content, and doesn't want the shoulder content mandatory, he wants it organic.
