With just about a week to go before Bellator 192, a huge change has been made to the card as the Bellator Heavyweight Grand Prix bout between Chael Sonnen and Quinton “Rampage” Jackson has been named the official main event of the show.
Fightful contributor Steven Muehlhausen broke the news on Twitter:
Can confirm via @BellatorMMA President Scott Coker, the main event of #Bellator192 will be Chael Sonnen vs Rampage Jackson with Douglas Lima vs Rory MacDonald WW Title Fight as the co-headliner. #MMA @sonnench

This replaces the original main event of the show, which was Bellator MMA Welterweight Champion Douglas Lima defending the gold against UFC veteran Rory MacDonald.
Muelhausen also reports that it was the call of Paramount Network, which owns Bellator MMA and not the promotion’s call to change the card.
The welterweight title bout between Lima and MacDonald will now serve as the co-main event for the show.
Bellator 192 takes place on Saturday, January 20 from The Forum in Inglewood, California with Chael Sonenn and Quinton Jackson headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, which airs live on the Paramount Network.
