Elizeu Zaleski Dos Santos has reportedly suffered an injury and has been pulled from the UFC Fight Night London card according to Combate. The Brazilian allegedly suffered a knee injury, but it is unknown at this time just how serious the injury could be and how long he could be out of action.
The fighter was supposed to fight Jack Marshman, who is expected to remain on the card as UFC officials are seeking a replacement for him to fight. There is just under a month until the event, which should give UFC officials enough time for a replacement to be found.
Marshman (22-7-0) has rotated wins and losses throughout his UFC run, with the last fight being a first round submission loss to Antonio Carlos Jr. at UFC Fight Night Sao Paulo. Marshman is a former Cage Warriors Middleweight Champion, defeating Ali Arish to win the gold at CWFC 76. Marshman has only seen one of his professional MMA bouts go the distance in the last two-plus years and that came back at UFC Fight Night Glasgow.
UFC Fight Night London takes place on Saturday, March 17 from the 02 Arena in London, England with Fabricio Werdum and Alexander Volkov headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, with broadcast plans yet to be announced.
