It looks like the next time you’ll be seeing Rockstar Spud will be in the WWE, if a new report is correct.
PWInsider reports that Rockstar Spud will be signing with the company and will join as soon as the proper visa work is completed. The current plan for him would be to join the 205 Live brand. This is a follow up from another report from when he was released by TNA last week, which also stated that he was on WWE’s radar.
The first ever winner of TNA’s British Bootcamp, Spud had a relatively long career in TNA, mostly used in a comedy role due to his short stature, thought he also competed regularly in the X-Division and was a focal point of the division at one point. His most memorable role was a part of Dixie Carter’s heel entourage, and had also won the X-Division title in the past.
He had spent most of this year been a part of a feud with Swoggle, mostly in comedy angles that involved getting his clothes ripped off. Before that, he was part of an aborted gimmick as a manservant to Aron Rex’s Liberace-esque character. When Jeff Jarrett took over creative of Impact earlier this year, Spud was relegated to being used as a ring announcer.
