Yesterday, it was announced that Simon Gotch of The Vaudevillains had requested his release from the WWE and the company had granted it.
Speculation swirled all evening about the reason for his release, with a fake story being posted on Reddit's Squared Circle board that picked up so much attention, Gotch himself had to make a statement on it.
The "fanfic," which appears to be a copy and paste job of a 2006 Pro Wrestling Torch report on Juventud Guerrera's WWE release, just with Guerrera's name replaced with Gotch's, can be read at the bottom of the page, for those curious.

The Wrestling Observer Newsletter has a note that Gotch's personality did rub a lot of people the wrong way, and has been a real problem since his backstage fight with SIn Cara this past summer.
