Ric Flair Still In Rough Shape After Successful Surgery

After a successful surgery, Ric Flair is still in rough shape.

According to Dave Meltzer of F4Wonline.com, Flair is still in critical condition at an Atlanta hospital, even with the successful colon surgery that he had yesterday.

Flair had colon surgery on August 14 to remove a blockage that was the catalyst for a number of health issues that followed, including kidney failure. Due to the kidney failure, Flair is currently on kidney dialysis and doctors are looking to get his kidneys back functioning.

The blockage was said to be the worst of the issues but the blockage did cause other problems. The surgery was considered a success but there are still several issues with Flair before he could make a full recovery. It was confirmed that the surgery was not only a success, but that it wasn't heart-related as well.

The two-time Hall of Famer was admitted to the hospital on August 12 and a statement at the time stated that Flair was in the hospital for routine monitoring and that there was "no reason to panic." Fightful owner Jimmy Van was the first to report that Flair was put in a medically-induced coma in the early hours of August 14.

Meltzer said things were not looking good for Flair at one point. Fellow WWE Hall of Famer Michael "PS" Hayes tweeted that he visited Flair on August 14 and that Flair needed all the prayers he could get.

We here at Fightful send our thoughts and prayers to the Flair family at this time and wish Ric a full and speedy recovery.
