Ronda Rousey's goal was to retire undefeated. After her loss to Holly Holm last year, she's been fairly quiet. However, in a new Reebok ad campaign, she addresses her defeat.
It's been nine months since Rousey lost her UFC Women's Bantamweight Championship to Holly Holm at UFC 193. Since then, the title has become a hot potato, not being successfully defended, and meeting it's fourth champion since last November. While Rousey has had few words or public appearances since the loss, she appeared in a new Reebok commercial, taking the situation head-on.
"Here’s the thing about being perfect. Perfect never gets truly tested. Perfect never gets to silence its critics. Perfect never gets a shot at redemption. So yeah, I’m fine with not being perfect," Rousey says in the ads.

Rousey wasn't done there. She spoke out about the ad itself during a recent luncheon to promote the #PerfectNever campaign.
"There are a lot of unrealistic standards being put on everyone," said Rousey. "I think it's good to have examples out there who say, 'You know what, not everyone is always going to like you, but life will go on, you'll be OK and you can still love yourself."
After the loss to Holm, Rousey underwent heavy scrutiny. She was the subject of memes, criticism and the butt of jokes after having what some considered a brash personality. Rousey told those in attendance that she has embraced the reaction.
"The acceptance of criticism is part of who I am," Rousey said. People either hate my guts or really, really, like me. And I'm OK with that."
