Teddy Long Was Taken To "Wrestler's Court" For Being Cheap, Sentenced To Provide Free Viagra For All

Chris Jericho says that due to a decision in "wrestler's court" Teddy Long was sentenced to give away beer and Viagra.

In the early 2000s, Teddy Long was working as a manager in WWE. On an episode of Talk is Jericho, podcast host Chris Jericho shared a story about Long which took place at that time. According to Jericho, Long was pulled into the "wrestler's court" of WWE's locker room. In an attempt at self-policing, the roster had accused Long of being unjustly frugal.

"This is a great story about Teddy Long...Teddy Long gets taken to wrestler's court by JBL and Ron Simmons because they say he's cheap. This is 2001...2002. Undertaker was always the judge, jury, and executioner. If you got taken to wrestler's court, it was a bad thing," said Jericho.

Long had two charges brought against him, but he thought if he brought in WWE Hall of Famer Mae Young as his "lawyer" he might win.

"Teddy Long trying to be a funny guy, because you would always hire a lawyer, Teddy Long hires Mae Young. Because he says 'I'm gonna go in there with the Mae Young theory and everyone will think I'm so funny' except Mae Young is insane," said Jericho. "The big thing was Teddy wouldn't pay the tolls. He also got free Viagra and he would sell the Viagra pills to the boys," he continued.

Jericho said he thought Young did not even know what Viagra was. He also claimed John Layfield (JBL) was acting as prosecutor in the scenario. In the end, Long had to pay his debt to the locker room.

"He had to buy them all two cases, forty-eight beers and all the free Viagra they could take for a month," said Jericho.

Since then, Long became a WWE Hall of Famer and most recently made a cameo appearance on Raw.
