Two More Bouts Added To UFC 217

The UFC 217 card is shaping up with two additional bouts as #11 Aleksei Oleinik faces #15 Curtis Blaydes at heavyweight and #8 Corey Anderson faces #12 Patrick Cummins at light heavyweight.

Oleinik (55-10-1) enters the fight riding a two fight winning streak, defeating the duo of Travis Browne and Viktor Pesta. Oleinik has only suffered a single defeat during his UFC tenure and that defeat came at the hands of Daniel Omielanczuk at UFC Fight Night 91.

Blaydes (8-1-0) enters the fight on a three fight winning streak, defeating the trio of Cody East, Adam Milstead and Daniel Omielanczuk. Blaydes also competed in the Resurrection Fighting Alliance, where he defeated Luis Cortez by third round TKO at RFA 35.

Anderson (9-3-0) has won just one of his last three fights, with that lone win coming over Sean O’Connell at UFC Fight Night 102. Anderson was the winner of the UFC Ultimate Fighter 19, defeating Matt Van Buren in the finals of the reality show.

Cummins (10-4-0) enters the fight while on a two fight winning streak, having defeated both Jan Blachowicz and Gian Villante. Cummins has suffered four losses under the UFC banner, with three of them coming to those who have held or challenged for the UFC Light Heavyweight Title.

UFC 217 takes place on Saturday, November 4 from Madison Square Garden in New York, New York with Michael Bisping and Georges St. Pierre headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, with a post-show podcast to follow.
