Vince McMahon Establishes New Entity Called Alpha Entertainment; XFL Revival Reportedly Being Considered

Vince McMahon has established and is funding a personal entity away from WWE, with reports indicating that it may have something to do with a revival of the XFL football league.

The story first broke months ago when Top Rope Travis on Twitter reported that Vince McMahon was looking to revive the XFL, with an announcement possibly going down on January 25:

Will Ospreay: I Flipping Love AEW, We Have The Most Talented Roster In The World

Front Row Brian, who has broken news in the past, added he'd heard the same:

Fightful was given this response by WWE when reached out for comment about an XFL revival, which was first issued to Fightful's David Bixenspan for Deadspin.

Vince McMahon has established and is personally funding a separate entity from WWE, Alpha Entertainment, to explore investment opportunities across the sports and entertainment landscapes, including professional football. Mr. McMahon has nothing further to announce at this time.

This doesn't confirm that a new version of XFL is on the way, or than an announcement is coming. But it is fascinating to learn of these reports and Vince McMahon's involvement with Alpha Entertainment on the same night.

The XFL ran for one season in 2001 and was largely considered to be a critical and financial flop. A recent documentary about the league, This Was the XFL, premiered on ESPN back on Febuary 2 as part of the 30 for 30 documentary series.
