Cassie Lee Kept Using Her Fisherman’s Suplex After People In NXT Were Impressed With The Bridge

Cassie Lee popularized one of her best moves in NXT.

Many fans consider Lee to be one of the best when it comes to pulling off a Fisherman’s Suplex. In a new interview with Fightful’s Sean Ross Sapp, she said that she started to use the move regularly after people in NXT were impressed by the bridge.

“I really don’t remember why I started using the fisherman suplex. I feel like I didn’t use it on the indies. When I first started at NXT, I busted it out and everyone was like, ‘Whoa, look at that bridge.’ So I just kept using it. But I always felt like the suplex itself was less impressive than the bridge. So I struggled with the balance of that.”
