Jacob Fatu Says His Samoan Werewolf Moniker Originated From ‘Twilight’

Jacob Fatu discusses the origins of his Samoan Werewolf moniker.
While speaking with Stephanie McMahon on the What’s Your Story podcast, Fatu was asked to talk about the nickname that he has used for the entirety of his career.
“It started from the movie Twilight. It really did. When I first got into wrestling, my uncle Rikishi, we were doing this NFL/NBA different teams from different cities. When I first came in — I gotta be very clear, I was trained by my uncles and my father as well — but Gangrel had a lot to do with my training. It started, we were on the same team. He was a vampire. Twilight, Vampires, needs a werewolf. Guys name was Jacob but I told my wife, I was like, ‘His body look way better than my body.’ Shoutout to Jacob on Twilight. That’s how Samoan Werewolf came about.”
Royce Keys is currently out of action after being attacked by Jacob Fatu on the August 3 episode of WWE Raw. Learn more by clicking here.
