AAA Suspends Chessman For Adrian Marcelo Incident, Marcelo Comments

AAA has suspended Chessman for slapping an influencer, who also commented on the matter.

On March 4, AAA held a wrestling show with the National Wrestling Alliance as part of the At the "The World is a Vampire" music festival. AAA star Chessman sparked some controversy when he slapped social media influencer Adrián Marcelo at the festival. The moment was captured on video, and while it initially seemed like it might have been part of a storyline, AAA announced that Chessman has been suspended for two weeks due to the incident.

Marcelo posted a video on Twitter in which he commented on the situation. He stated that if AAA doesn't make a statement or an attempt to clarify what happened with the incident within the next week, he will present the company with a lawsuit. Marcelo demanded an explanation as to why Chessman hit him.

“You guys can’t see the hit, but my neck hurts a shit ton. Just wanted to post in IG Story & I am tagging AAA & and I want to ask Dorian (Roldán) if there will be a statement or if they will clarify anything because if I don’t see that within this week, I will present a lawsuit, plain & simple. In the video you can see what he (Chessman) did & there are many elements to proceed. I just demand an explanation & want to know what will happen. At the very least, I want to know from the AAA Director to see what the fuck happened with Chessman & why he did that," Marcelo said. (Translated by Luis Pulido).

Fightful will continue to monitor the situation and provide information as it becomes available.

Chessman has won several titles with AAA; he is a two-time AAA World Tag Team Champion and a three-time World Trios Champion, among other accolades.

AAA recently issued a statement in response to the gender violence complaint against Cuatrero. More information is available here.
