Adam Cole gives an update on his recovery.
Adam Cole, like many top names in the industry, is currently sidelined with an injury In Adam's case, there is a multitude of injuries, including a labrum injury as first reported by Fightful Select.
Adam has not wrestled since AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door. Now, he is giving an update on his condition, revealing that he is recovering every week and is very grateful for the team he has surrounding him.
"I'm doing okay. I'm definitely on the path, on the track to recovery for sure. I have a great team around me that is helping and just making sure that I'm taken care of to the best of my ability, " Adam Cole said on Gamespot's Wrestle Buddies podcast. "AEW has been fantastic as far as making sure that I'm getting the right care that I deserve. I feel like I progress and move forward every single week for sure."
Continuing on, Adam would say that the years of wear and tear on his body finally caught up to him.
"I was pretty banged up. So again, for 14 years, being in the pro wrestling industry, I think the most time I'd ever had off, as far as traveling, being on the road, was one month, and I've been 'going, going, going' nonstop. So eventually, our bodies kind of catch up to us. I had a couple of things that were kind of lingering for me and then with what happened at Forbidden Door, so... but, I feel good. I'm very confident I'll be back in the ring soon. I'm excited to be back. I miss it so much already. But yeah, I'm feeling good," he said.
Adam Cole would go on to mention that his lingering injuries have prevented him from playing any games in virtual reality.
“So currently, again, in my injured state, VR is definitely not something I can do right now, right? However, generally, I do love the VR and funny enough, Britt, years ago, got me the Oculus Rift, like right when it came out for Christmas. It was amazing. Then, just a couple of weeks ago for my birthday, my mom and my brother got me the Meta Quest 2.”
We continue to wish Adam a speedy recovery and will continue to provide updates on his condition as they are made available.
