The tournament will start tonight, with Hangman Page facing Bryan Danielson in a first round matchup. On Friday's Rampage, Sammy Guevara will take on Darby Allin in the other first round bout. The winner of those matches will go on to respectively face Chris Jericho and Jon Moxley in the second round of the tournament that will take place on the September 14 edition of Dynamite. CM Punk defeated Jon Moxley to capture the title at AEW All Out this past Sunday. The title win followed Punk's loss of the belt, which took place on the August 24 edition of Dynamite when he lost an AEW World Title Unification Match to Jon Moxley. Punk, along with many other AEW talent, are reportedly suspended from the company following the reported brawl backstage following the All Out press conference.
