AJ Styles Asked About Potential CM Punk Return

The WWE Champion AJ Styles has plenty on his plate, with a championship match at this Sunday's WWE Fastlane event that could guarantee him a WrestleMania date with Shinsuke Nakamura. However, he was asked about another former champion when on a media tour

Styles appeared on "Loper and Randi in the Morning" on Friday at 99.7 The Blitz, where the hosts asked him about the possibility of UFC fighter CM Punk possibly heading back to WWE. Punk and WWE had a highly publicized falling out in 2014 that has devolved into a lawsuit between a WWE doctor and Punk.

"There are a lot of matches I'd like to have that I haven't had yet... Money talks, but there’s some issues there that I don’t know enough about. A lot of guys (had issues) and like I said money talks, but some guys have bigger issues than others, you know? Who knows?," Styles said.

While CM Punk left WWE two years before AJ Styles ever showed up, the two had several matches prior. Styles and Punk locked horns in Ring of Honor, NWA:TNA and IWA-Mid South between 2002 and 2004.
